Food

Palawan's kitchens draw on the sea and on the farms of the mainland. Narra is the province's rice granary, and El Nido lists coconut, rice, cashew, banana and mango among its main products.

Kinilaw, raw fish or seafood cured in vinegar and citrus, is eaten here as across the Philippines. Puerto Princesa has its own noodle soup, chao long, adapted from Vietnamese soups brought by refugees who arrived in the late 1970s.
